Sophie James

I have been practicing Hatha Yoga for 14 years, and in 2015 I decided to further my Yoga journey and completed my Yoga teacher training qualification. I then went on to become a qualifed Pregnancy Yoga teacher the following year. I am also a qualified Pilates instructor. I have taken courses and workshops with both the British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance Europe, and have practiced with many of Cardiff’s experienced teachers over the years.

My Yoga incorporates focus on using pranyama to deepen into postures, alongside a knowledge of how the body moves, using this to transition from static postures into flowing sequences, with the aim to build strength and flexibility. Pranyama, meditation and Yoga Nidra are central to my practice, as the benefits of these for the mind, are just as benefical as the asanas are for the physical body.
